Do you believe in me?

1. Yes, I do believe that he is a great speaker, not only for his age, but in general! He was relaxed and really got his point across.
2. Wow, he had so many good characteristics! To start off, the way he said his words, it really showed you what he was talking about, it made you feel what he was saying. Another great thing that stuck out to me would be his use of gestures. They kept your attention and really helped get the point across. Honestly, I can't seem to find anything that he really was bad at.
3. He would constantly change the pitch of his voice. He did a wonderful job of really making you feel what he said. You knew when he was stating a question, or when he was at a real high point in what he was trying to get across.
4. His gestures were amazing! I think his use of gestures helped a lot to make the audience stay completely focused on him and really feel what he was talking about. It kept it lively. I thought it was great when he would say "Do you believe in me," and point to himself. His gestures are what kept me into the speech.
5. I think the reason for choosing him to speak is because he is in the age. Most of the time you get adults that talk about kids and different things, but when you actually get a kid to speak, your coming straight from the main objective. Who knows how a kid feels or wants, better than a kid?
6. I think the message he was trying to get across, is that we need our parents to believe in us and help push us on in the future. That believing in us, in each other, and in oneself, is the best way to achieve things in life. That we need all those things.
7. I would definitively say that the teachers believed his speech. I think for a teacher to hear a student talk that passionately about believing in each other it would have to be inspiring. Especially to see all the heart he put into it, not to mention all the courage he had to get up and talk in front of that many people.

Personally, I loved his message. First of all, it showed me how much we really do need our friends, teachers, family, coaches, and especially ourselves to believe in each other. If we all believe, we can get so much farther in our lives. Another thing I got from the speech was not only the spectacular message, but the courage and drive he had to get up in front of all those people. It went to show me that if your are that passionate about something to do something about it! People will listen, especially if you had as much heart put into it as this young boy did. If I were a teacher, I would be blown away by this. One thing that would blow me away would be that a 5th grade boy could get up in front of thousands of people and give such an amazing presentation. It would make me want to believe in myself, and my surrounding people. I would leave there with a new outlook, especially in my teaching skills. Telling someone you believe in them, could go to give them the courage that this young boy just showed us.
